Product quality

——Ma Zhenhuan

In today’s world, where product quality is a company’s lifeblood, high-quality products have become the cornerstone for enterprises to gain a foothold and thrive in the market. Therefore, we must place even greater emphasis on quality control and strive to win through superior quality.

One, Quality awareness is key:

To improve quality, our awareness of quality is paramount. From management personnel to production workers, everyone must embrace the mindset that quality comes first. In the production process, no matter what quality issues arise, we must identify their root causes and develop effective solutions and improvement measures. In our production process, components processed in the previous stage must pass inspection before being handed over to the next stage. The subsequent stage must verify that the components received from the previous stage are indeed qualified before accepting them for installation.

II. Persist in continuously improving quality:

To improve product quality, the Production Department holds a quality meeting every Friday. Since November 2015—now five years have passed—the meetings have been used to summarize weekly quality issues arising in production, identify problems and their root causes, and develop solutions to prevent similar issues from occurring in the future. Thanks to these efforts over the past several years, our products have significantly improved.

I hope the experienced senior technicians in the assembly workshop will pay even closer attention, check each other’s work carefully, and strive to do their jobs even better.
I believe that with our collective efforts—thinking and working together as one—we will continue to improve the equipment we produce, and the company’s development will only get better and better.

Quality

                                                 — Shen Guangjun

Quality is the foundation upon which a company’s survival depends; in today’s rapidly developing and fiercely competitive social environment, it serves as the catalyst that enables companies to reach new heights.
As a quality inspector at our company, I am primarily responsible for inspecting machined parts from the metalworking workshop, inspecting semi-finished products received from external suppliers, inspecting raw blanks purchased from outside sources, and performing dimensional inspections on processed parts—including those that have undergone gear cutting by outsourced partners, electric water pumps, and nitriding treatments.

I. Measures and Systems Related to Quality:

1. To ensure product quality, the workshop holds a morning meeting every day to review the quality issues that arose the previous day. Paper photos of these issues are printed and distributed, and the individuals involved are asked to explain the reasons behind them. All employees are reminded of these issues to prevent recurrence.
2. To enhance quality awareness among employees in this workshop and break away from outdated work attitudes, we’ve adopted a two-way accountability system: whenever a quality issue arises within any team, both the team leader and the person directly involved will jointly assume responsibility and face corresponding penalties, depending on the specific circumstances. This approach effectively promotes mutual supervision. In fact, the sole purpose behind introducing this measure and system is to ensure that all processed parts are made to the highest standard, raise everyone’s awareness of product quality, and foster a positive workshop environment in which all employees take an active interest in quality.

II. Reflections:

Finally, I’d like to say that quality isn’t just about empty slogans or superficial compliance—it’s about genuinely putting your heart and soul into every task. Only when quality awareness and a sense of responsibility become second nature for everyone will product quality naturally improve.
Thank you!

Production safety

                                                           — Zhao Haibin

Safety is the key and vital guarantee for ensuring smooth production. It provides the foundation for enterprise operations and directly translates into economic benefits. Whether it’s the growth and expansion of a company or the warmth and well-being of a family, safety serves as the cornerstone upon which enterprises are built and the fundamental basis for creating a harmonious family environment. Currently, our company is undertaking infrastructure construction projects, and various workshops will frequently shift production locations and move processing equipment. As we enter winter, with increased rainfall and snowfall and roads becoming icy, these conditions demand that we maintain a strong safety awareness and firmly prevent any safety incidents from occurring. Safe production is an issue that everyone must take seriously—and it is also a crucial safeguard for the company’s sustainable development.

I. Measures for Infrastructure Safety:

1. Comrade Wang Zhenqiang, the infrastructure construction supervisor, conducted safety awareness training for external construction personnel.

2. External construction personnel must sign the daily training attendance sheet and confirm their entry into the construction site.
3. Given the varying levels of safety awareness among external construction workers, it is essential for everyone to jointly monitor potential safety hazards at the construction site and promptly report any identified risks. Zhang Haoguo from the Production Department demonstrated outstanding performance: around 12:00 p.m. on November 14, he reported that there were suspended materials hanging on the outer side of the parapet wall in Workshop East. Upon receiving this information, I immediately communicated with Wang Zhenqiang to confirm the issue and eliminated the safety hazard by 12:15 p.m. that same day. After investigating the root cause, we found that the construction workers had failed to completely remove the ridge at that location, and strong winds had caused part of the ridge to hang over the outer parapet wall. Fortunately, the hazard was detected and addressed promptly and effectively, without causing any damage. Hereby, I would like to appeal to all of you: as company safety officers and quality inspectors, please promptly report any non-standard issues to your superiors to eliminate potential safety risks.
This year, the number of accidents has been relatively lower compared to last year, a result that’s closely tied to everyone’s joint efforts as well as this year’s weekly comprehensive company inspections. The company’s proactive oversight has helped enhance our professional competence and deepen our awareness of potential safety hazards. We hope that more outstanding frontline employees will join the comprehensive inspection team, thereby ensuring the company’s safe and efficient operations.

II. Safety Measures for Moving Equipment in the Sheet Metal Workshop:

1. Zhao Haibin is responsible for the overall coordination of the dismantling and handling of sheet metal workshop equipment.
2. Before dismantling and disassembling any equipment, the equipment operator must mark and photograph the disassembly areas for future reference, and print these photos before commencing work. During disassembly, special care must be taken to protect the critical components of the equipment. It is strictly prohibited to carry out rough or unguarded dismantling operations, as this could compromise the equipment’s precision.
3. Equipment transportation will be handled by forklift operator Zhang Jian, who will move the equipment to the designated location while ensuring that the forklift is not overloaded.
4. The fixed assembly of equipment shall be carried out by Jiang Wentao and the respective equipment supervisors. For special high-precision equipment, external commissioning personnel will be responsible for disassembly, transportation, installation, and commissioning. The equipment supervisors will accompany the entire process and ensure that no equipment acceptance signatures or handover procedures are completed without their presence.

III. Safety on the commute to and from work:

Now is the peak of the Great Snow solar term, and the weather is cold with icy roads. Employees riding electric bikes should take proper measures to stay warm and protect themselves from the cold, maintain a safe following distance, and strictly obey traffic rules. With the arrival of winter, there’s an increase in traffic during morning and evening commutes—so please avoid changing lanes arbitrarily or driving aggressively, and be especially courteous to pedestrians.

Good deeds and good people Awarding the winners

During the processing of the new 4/6-head panels, it was discovered that the process holes in the panels were cut from the front side, leaving slag on the bottom surface during cutting. Therefore, before further processing, the slag must be cleaned off first. In response to this issue, Wang Jiwei from the metalworking workshop suggested that the cutting should be performed from the reverse side instead. This approach not only ensures the panel’s smooth finish but also simplifies the removal of the slag.
In the metalworking workshop, Ji Yanlei noticed that the milling allowance for the 3-13529 support column’s square machining is 8 mm, which results in a large machining allowance and prolonged processing time. She therefore proposed changing the dimension from 27 to 30 square, a modification that would not affect usability while reducing machining time and improving processing efficiency.
The original drawing for the 3-13918 end conduit pipe specified using φ30 polished round steel, which resulted in a large machining allowance and long processing time. Wang Jinbao from the metalworking workshop proposed replacing the φ30 polished round steel with a 30×8/304 pipe, thereby reducing the machining allowance and improving processing efficiency.
The retaining ring used in the assembly of the guide seat PTH2A02-02A-12 and the guide sleeve hole PTH2A02-02A-13 experiences friction with the shaft. Master Ding Shuli suggested cutting grooves into the guide seat and pressing the shoulder of the guide sleeve into place, thereby eliminating the friction between the retaining ring and the shaft.
In the metalworking workshop, Wang Lintao proposed that standardized dimensions be established for the lifting holes on iron panels to ensure uniformity.
Regarding order 200728, Lü Yang from the Enterprise Management Department redesigned the electrical configuration without affecting usability or compromising customer requirements. This resulted in cost savings of 6,000 yuan per sealing machine, for a total savings of 12,000 yuan for the customer. This customer-focused approach has been highly praised by the client.
Comrade Yang Fengjun, while following up on equipment 84-16-16 at Shikumen, promptly identified and documented issues, and bravely took responsibility for them. From July to October, during his business trips, he actively communicated with the technical department, successfully resolving the problems encountered with the equipment and providing effective assurance for the customer’s equipment acceptance and production. Moreover, Comrade Yang Fengjun meticulously summarized and categorized the issues he encountered, provided detailed explanations of their causes and circumstances, and closely tracked the revised drawings in real time, thereby offering valuable data support for the equipment’s innovation and improvement. This spirit demonstrated by Comrade Yang Fengjun is truly worthy of emulation by all.
